We are responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with neurological conditions and brain injuries involving persons over the age of 16 who live in the Vakka-Suomi area.
Neurosurgical inpatient ward
We provide high-quality, efficacious treatment of surgical diseases of the central nervous system, skull and skeleton. Patients are referred to the ward from Emergency Services. Patients may also be summoned to the ward.
Geriatric Memory Ward
We treat elderly patients with memory disorders who have behavioural symptoms or delirium related to the illness.
Day surgery, Tyks Orto Surgical hospital
At the day surgery unit we treat patients with injuries and diseases of the hip, knee, ankle, instep, shoulder, elbow and hand.
Operation Unit, T-hospital
Our unit provides operating theatre services around the clock every day of the year for many specialties, including but not limited to abdominal-, cardiothoracic-, and neurosurgery.
Stroke unit
The patients at the Stroke unit have acute changes in the blood circulation of their brain and require close follow-up and management. The patients of the Stroke unit are referred to us from Emergency services.

Preterm Infant Follow-up Clinic
In our ex-preterm follow-up clinic, we check growth and development post discharge.

The day surgery unit of the Department of Ophthalmology is a provider of a wide range of specialized ophthalmological services for paediatric and adult patients within the area of the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland.

Emergency services provides service to people who need urgent help because of a sudden illness or an accident. The telephone line to Emergency services and the medical help line are available 24/7.
