Patients are referred to the ward from Emergency Services. Patients may also be summoned to the ward. The most common conditions we manage are brain injuries, brain tumors, disturbances of the blood circulation of the brain, disturbances of the circulation of the spinal fluid and diseases of the skeleton. We use deep brain stimulation to treat conditions like motion disturbances and prolonged nerve pain. Our unit is a part of the Tyks Neurocenter. Arrival Main entrance to the T-hospital. Arriving to the T-hospital. Visits Visiting hours are daily at 1.00–6.30 pm. Visiting hours to rooms for patients on intensified surveillance are at 1.00–2.00 and 5.00–6.30 pm. We recommend a maximum of two visitors at the same time. Visit must be kept brief. Telephone inquiries Inquiries about preparation for surgery, call 02 313 2770 weekdays at 9–10 am. Mornings at the ward are reserved for treatments and doctor’s rounds. Visitors are not allowed at those times. Please make your calls after 11 am. If the patient is unable to talk about his/her condition, the one and same contact person should contact the ward on phone 02 313 1210. For communications concerning patients who have been admitted home, call 02 313 7172 on weekdays at 2–3 pm. Client fees A daily fee is charged for treatment and care at the inpatient ward. Facilities The ward accommodates 26 bed patients, and of these 6 are for patients under intensified surveillance (rooms 1 and 2). The other patient rooms are for 2–3 persons each.
