Breadcrumb Home About Tyks Finances and operating figures Access to treatment Access to treatment Information about access to treatment, i.e. the waiting times, are reported to the Institute for Health and Welfare three times a year: 30 April, 31 August and 31 December. The actual waiting times within the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland vary depending on the specialty. The criteria for access to treatment are the same throughout the country. The criteria are published by the Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). The statistics only cover non-urgent care. Emergency patients are always treated immediately and without delay. Access to cancer treatment in Tyks The Cancer Centre monitors the execution of cancer treatments by following the time from arrival of the referral to the very first treatment contact (visit to a physician, telephone call on treatment or treatment meeting) and the overall time to treatment, i.e., the time from arrival of the referral or the treatment decision to start of the first treatment.
