We mainly treat emergency patients with digestive surgery or urology problems. Our ward is on duty 24 hours a day.

The services of Tyks Loimaa hospital are used not only by residents of the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland, but also by residents of other wellbeing services counties living nearby. The hospital serves a population of about 85 000.

The patients at the Stroke unit have acute changes in the blood circulation of their brain and require close follow-up and management. The patients of the Stroke unit are referred to us from Emergency services.
Brain tumours are the second most common form of cancer among children, but they are still rather rare. Our hospital treats less than 10 paediatric patients with a brain tumour yearly.
Service
We treat children and young people in need of specialised health care inpatient care, who are ill with infectious diseases, other paediatric diseases or paediatric neurological diseases.
Urology
We research, plan and organize treatment and surgeries. We monitor the progress of the treatment and perform surgical procedures and examinations.
