Clinical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine and PET Imaging

Service area of Clinical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine and PET examines the functions and dysfunctions of the body with the latest medical technology.

The Clinical Physiology Department performs various examinations of the heart and blood circulation, respiration and the digestive system.

Examines of the Nuclear Medicine and PET departments are used for example assessing the spread of cancer. The PET Department also performs CT scans of the coronary arteries and MRI scans of the heart.

There is considerable amount of scientific research work in the service area.

Quality standard

Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine Unit are accredited testing laboratories T150 by the FINAS accreditation service, accreditation requirement SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
