Sarcomas
Sarcoma is a general term for connective tissue cancers. The sarcomas are a group of different and rare tumours. They have names that often refer to the tissue from which the tumour has originated.
Sleep and vigilance tests
Examinations of sleep and vigilance are used to study conditions such as sleep apnoea (abnormal breathing patterns during sleep), abnormal daytime fatigue and disorders of excessive somnolence due to other causes, prolonged insomnia and various types of seizure symptoms during sleep.
Stomach (gastric) cancer
The diagnosis is made by examination of tumour tissue samples obtained in connection with gastroscopy. Stomach cancer is treated by surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Stress tests are used to measure body functions during exertion.

Testicular cancer
The usual symptom of testicular cancer is a nodule found by the patient in either of the testicles. Testicular cancer is divided into two types: seminomas and non-seminomas.
Thyroid cancer
Thyroid cancer is usually diagnosed from a cytological (cell) sample taken with a needle from a nodule that the patients has found in the neck.
