The Turku University Hospital Centre of Excellence in Neuromodulation Therapies implements, coordinates and develops neuromodulation operations and scientific research in Southwest Finland in several fields of specialised medical care.

We treat diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. In all our activities, the starting point is the patient, service, quality and safe treatment. We offer patients flexible access to treatment and nearby services in the entire area of Southwest Finland.
Esophageal tests are used to examine various functional disturbances of the esophagus. The most common esophageal functional disturbances include chest pain, difficulties in swallowing, and heartburn.
Service
Screening for rare inborn diseases is recommended for all newborn babies. The aim of the screening is to identify serious congenital diseases whose harm can be prevented by early treatment.
Brain tumours are the second most common form of cancer among children, but they are still rather rare. Our hospital treats less than 10 paediatric patients with a brain tumour yearly.
