Sarcoma is a general term for connective tissue cancers. The sarcomas are a group of different and rare tumours. They have names that often refer to the tissue from which the tumour has originated.

Lymphomas are the third most common form of cancer among children. There are annually about 15 new cases of paediatric lymphoma in Finland; 2–5 are annually treated in Tyks.
Lung cancer is the second most common form of cancer among men and the fourth most common one among women. In all of Finland, the annual number of new cases of lung cancer is around 2,300 and in the area of Southwest Finland around 200.
In the ENT emergency, we take care of urgent ear, nose and throat patients with appointments, patients who come with doctor´s referral, and first aid cases of the head and neck area.
Head and neck cancer refers to malignant tumours of the head and neck region excluding the eyes, brain and thyroid.
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer among men. Of all cancers, prostate cancer is, in fact, the most common form of cancer in the whole population.
We know that many cancers can metastasize to the liver, but cancer in the liver itself is rather uncommon.
The usual symptom of testicular cancer is a nodule found by the patient in either of the testicles. Testicular cancer is divided into two types: seminomas and non-seminomas.
An individual treatment plan is tailored for each patient. The outcome of the treatment plan depends on the type of cancer and how far it has spread, the patient's general condition, age and concomitant illnesses. Thus, patients with the same cancer may have different treatment plans.
The diagnosis is made by examination of tumour tissue samples obtained in connection with gastroscopy. Stomach cancer is treated by surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
