We examine and treat patients with diseases of hormone secretion and metabolism.
Among the most common conditions we treat are:
- diabetes and diabetic foot problems
- diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands
- diseases of the adrenal glands
- diseases of the pituitary
- osteoporosis
- morbid obesity.
We are also responsible for the treatment of rare endocrinological diseases, including multiple endocrine neoplasias (MEN).
Doctors, nurses, dietitians and foot therapists have their offices at the Endocrinology Outpatient Clinic.
Patients are admitted to us by referral from a physician.
Our clinic resides in the Turku University Hospital under the Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic.
