We teach patients to treat their diseases at home and monitor the fulfilment of treatment.You need a doctor's referral to be admitted.We are part of the Tyks Medicine service area. Expertise and competence One of the main subjects of our scientific research is the imaging of rheumatic diseases (for example vasculitis, sarcoidosis, myositis) infectious diseases with positron emission tomography (PET).We are actively participating in the national registry of biological medications in Finland (ROB-FIN), which is aiming to follow the effectiveness and adverse effects of biological medications in the treatment of rheumatic diseases.We are also participating in several research projects concerning the treatment strategies of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis (FinEra, FIN-RACo, NEO-RACo and FinAdaSpa-trials). We are working in close co-operation with other specialities. For example we are regularly attending meetings of muscle diseases, lung fibrosis and dermatology. Telephone We use a call-back system.
