Geropsychiatric unit for intensified open care, Loimaa

In psychiatric open care, the human person is the therapeutic tool and interactive skills are crucial. The student must be able to work individually and as a team member. The student needs to possess a real interest in geropsychiatric care and a thirst for learning.

Students are bound by the same standards of confidentiality as all other personnel.

Training, teaching and guidance

• Participation in assessment of patients’ therapy needs and in therapy planning
• Participation in planning overall patient management 
• Participation in the care of geropsychiatric patients in open care
• Participation in multiprofessional teamwork
• Participation in the care of patients visited at home
