In the Lighthouse hospital we have paediatric and adolescent medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics, ear, nose and throat diseases and oral and maxillofacial diseases. You can also find some of the medical imaging functions in the Lighthouse hospital.
Pancreas cancer
Cancer of the pancreas may not give any or only very mild symptoms initially. That is why pancreas cancer is often advanced at the time it is diagnosed, since symptoms emerge only when the tumour has grown to a sufficient size.
Lazaret Museum
The goal of the Turku Lazaret Museum is to record the history of the oldest hospital in Finland, functional without interruptions since 1759, as well as to preserve its equipment and to collect folklore of the hospital. Founded in 1974, the museum turned 50 last year, 30 October 2024.
