Surgery Ward, Salo

A daily inpatient fee is collected from inpatient ward treatment, and a clinic fee is collected from outpatient visits. See client fees.

Visiting hours are Mon–Sun 2 pm to 6.30 pm.

We hope that the next of kin take also other patients into consideration and do not bring flowers or other strong fragrants that might cause symptoms in the ward.

There are single, double and four person rooms in the ward. Patients are assigned into the rooms based on their own needs and their diseases.

Each patient has a personal locker for storing clothes and other belongings. Nevertheless, we hope that any valuables are not brought along to the hospital stay.

There is a day room for the patients, where you can read the daily magazine or watch TV.

You can use your own mobile phone in the ward facilities.

There is no Internet access available to the patients. Patients can bring their own laptops.

We focus on hand hygienics and patient safety.

We have been developing the LEIKO activity (patients are admitted into surgery from home). By staggering appointments we have shortened the time spent in queues.

We employ rehabilitative methods in our work.
