The monitoring ward is on duty 24 hours a day. We admit patients during night time as well.

We mainly treat internal medicine patients from the emergency clinic. The most commonly treated diseases are cardiac infarction, arrhythmia, infections, cardiac insufficiency and toxicoses. We also admit debilitated post-operative patients from the surgical ward and the recovery room.

We perform planned cardioversions on fibrillation patients arriving by referral.

The monitoring ward is located in the same floor of the new building as the internal medicine inpatient ward.

We have a large common room with beds separated by curtains and two isolation rooms. The isolation rooms have their own toilets and showers.

The patients' belongings are kept in lockers. You can use your own phone, as long as it does not disturb other patients. You can also use our patient phone.

There is a room for visitors with its own toilet and a coffee maker.

Visiting hours are the same as elsewhere in the hospital, from 2 pm to 6:30 pm. However, we only hope for short visiting periods and no more than two visitors at a time. Of course, we make exceptions for seriously ill patients.

If necessary, visitors can use a family room with its own toilet and the possibility to make coffee. Please, do not bring strongly scented flowers as gifts. We also hope that on of the relatives will keep in touch with us and shares the information with other loved ones.
