Gynaecological Outpatient Clinic, Loimaa

Depending on the type of treatment you will be charged a day fee, outpatient clinic fee, fee for day surgery or fee for serial treatment. More information about client fees.

You will be actively involved as one of the team members at our outpatient clinic.  Each team member is responsible for providing you guidance.

You will learn about nursing of gynaecological patients by participating in treatment planning, by providing treatment and by guiding women of different ages.

You will become familiar with how the outpatient clinic operates to the extent of your own interest and the duration of your training period.

You will be able to participate in various treatment and examination procedures with the consent of the patients and due consideration of professional confidentiality and protection of the patient’s privacy.

Before your training period

We trust that you have read up on:

• the anatomy of the human female
• the menstrual cycle
• our guidance process for nurse trainees at the university of applied sciences or  our guidance process for practical nurse trainees and the hospital as a learning environment.

What will you learn?

• examination and treatment  of elective patients
• working at an outpatient clinic, fast-paced interactive abilities
• manual skills needed for assisting at gynaecological examinations, e.g., taking a Pap smear
• basics of examining and managing different gynaecological symptoms or diseases
