Our services cover multiprofessional outpatient and ward rehabilitation of adult patients. We promote the science of medical rehabilitation and adapt a positive way of thinking about rehabilitation. Our activities are focused on assessment of patients’ functional abilities and early rehabilitation necessitated by illness or injury. We have 16 beds open 24/7 for rehabilitation patients, 2 beds for day patients, open care service for patients with spinal cord injuries and open care rehabilitation services aided by a walking robot. We are a part of the Tyks Neurocenter. Arrival Entrance to the Kaskenlinna hospital. Visits Monday–Sunday at 2–7 pm plus at times separately agreed on. The treatment planning professional contacts involved parties regarding new referrals and is best available on work days at 12–2 pm. Client fees The treatment period on the ward carries a daycare fee. The fee for daytime rehabilitation is 17.10€ (in 2023). Facilities We are a unit of specialized health care and operate in the Kaskenlinna hospital in Turku. Our patient rooms are for two, they are spacious and equipped with toilet and shower facilities. Ward services Patients attending for rehabilitation 24/7 get regular hospital nursing services. Patients in daytime rehabilitation manage their own medication independently. You may use your own clothes while attending for daytime rehabilitation, but in that case you need to service your own clothing. Home leaves are possible at your own cost. For students Our ward functions a a training site for nursing students. Students aiming av qualifying as nurses and practical nurses book their training hours electronically.
